WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades give a guaranteed boost to specific stats. Each upgrade increases the level of an item level upgrade by 3. A random additional substat is also added to each upgrade.

The upgraded gear is usually more valuable, unless it is not required by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a high variance in stats (like Eth Titan weapons). Upgrades are not as important for those with higher variance due to the requirement to roll a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrades upgrader enables players to upgrade their gear to a higher level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied on any kind of armor or weapons. However, the item used to upgrade item will be consumed forever and can't be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to the enchantments.

You can upgrade your gear at any time by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended to visit the upgrader at least once every couple of weeks to keep your equipment up-to-date.

The cost of upgrades will vary based on the current level of the item being upgraded but they will always be less expensive than buying new equipment from other sources. Upgrades such as upgrading a Benthic chest up to ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. Buying a similar item will cost you 105.

Upgrades are functional items which can be used to improve the quality of weapons and tools, armor and other accessories. They can be bought by players through NPCs who sell upgrades for items in exchange for a variety of currencies, and can be found in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade has been purchased, it can be applied to any weapon, tool, or armor with the help of The button will display the preview of an item's next level of upgrade items, when there are enough materials.

The upgrade cost depends on the slot of the item upgrader mod and current item level and the weapon's price is higher than bracers or gloves, for instance. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones plus a certain number of crests. Some upgrades offer discounts on Flightstones. After an item has been upgraded to a certain level and is degraded, it can be sold and returned to the upgrader for a lesser amount of both currency types.

The use of these currencies isn't too difficult however, the system will introduce a few changes to the overall upgrade process. For instance, once an item is at the highest level of upgrading for any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic), it won't require Flightstones to be upgraded. This change is designed to allow players to get their equipment to the highest possible ilvl for all their characters rather than relying solely on seasonal loot.

It's also crucial to choose crests wisely, as they have only one purpose. For instance, it's a good idea make use of all your Whelpling-rank crests with the best equipment you have and keep Drake and Wyrm crests for the next batch of upgrades you're planning on making. This is especially true for items like rings and trinkets that take up multiple slots on the character, which will only be able to take advantage of the account-wide discount if all slots are filled with top-quality equipment.
